I am a designer and teacher. Here’s what I’m up to:
TWOxTWO
I’m a co-founder and principal in design practice TWOxTWO. We support clients looking to build internal capacity for innovation work while getting projects done.
The Summer Studio
Convening once a year, The Summer Studio is a unique leadership intensive for up-and-coming creative talent. I teach this joyful learning experience with an incredible team of colleagues who straddle design education and design practice.
The Creative Capacity Lab
At the University of Texas at Austin, I work with fellow faculty and students to translate design tools for use in community organizations. We call it The Creative Capacity Lab.
There, I Fixed It
Over 20 years in the making, There, I Fixed It is a collection of photographs documenting the mundane (and hilarious) ways humans try to help each other navigate through hand-written signs about how to use things. On the site, you can contribute photos, too.
UT Austin School of Design and Creative Technologies
Nowhere is my work more meaningful or fun than in a classroom. I am a full Professor of Practice and teach classes in Prototyping, Collaboration, Design Research and more at The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Design and Creative Technologies, where the students are a testament to their generation’s optimism and brilliance.
